This smoothie may seriously be one of the most refreshing smoothies that I’ve ever had! Basil is such a neat herb. It goes so well with so many different types of meals. Savory, sweet, raw, cooked, and now it turns out that it lends itself perfectly to smoothies! This is great, because basil has a whole bunch of great health benefits and medicinal properties!
Those are just a large handful…there are many more! Do you see why I love this herb so much? Not only is it incredibly versatile in terms of the recipes you use it in, but also in all of the ways one can use it to make them feel their best!
On top of the basil, the flavors in this go together so well, and it is LOADED with nutrition! You would never know that there are 2 servings of veggies in this, but there are! Plus, it’s a smoothie, so it’s SO easy to throw together! I’ll mark this one down as a win in my book!
BASIL BLUEBERRY TAHINI SMOOTHIE
- 1 cup frozen blueberries
- 2 cups cooked and frozen cauliflower (just cook a head of cauliflower chopping it into small florets, then steaming it. After it’s cooked, keep it in the freezer to use in smoothies like this)
- 1 small banana or 1/2 large banana
- handful of basil
- 1-2 Tbsp. tahini
- 1-2 cups of almond milk, depending on how thick you like your smoothies
- pinch of stevia (optional)
Place all of the ingredients in a blender, and blend until smooth.
Transfer to a glass to serve.
