The other day, I was dipping some fruit in yogurt and munching on it. In doing so, I came up with the idea of these frozen yogurt fruit bites! Basically, you just dip fruit in a yogurt mixture and then freeze the little blobs to create these delicious and nutritious little snacks of delight! I made frozen yogurt covered strawberries and blueberries, and they both turned out delicious, but really you can use any fruit you would like! I bet bananas would be amazing! At any rate, these make for a PERFECT snack since they are healthy and sweet – YUM! They are also incredibly easy to put together!
DELICIOUS FROZEN YOGURT COVERED FRUIT BITES
Ingredients:
- Plain Greek Yogurt (you can also use flavored yogurt if you wish, or if you want extra sweetness using the plain yogurt, just add a bit of vanilla, honey, or stevia to it before dipping the fruit.)
- Fruit of your choice, cut into bite size pieces
Directions:
1.) Clean your fruit. Dip the fruit in the yogurt, coating completely.
2.) Continue doing this with each piece of fruit, placing the yogurt covered fruit on a plate.
3.) Place the plate in the freezer for 2-3 hours. Take out and serve then, or you can transfer to a container and keep in the freezer till you are ready to eat them. I stored mine in a plastic ziploc bag, but they only lasted two days because I gobbled them up pretty quick!
Easy. Yummy. Healthy. Enjoy! 🙂
