Homemade Gluten Free Cereal

I have been craving cereal lately, but most store bought cereals are filled with sugar and additives. I decided to put something together myself, and it is AMAZING! This cereal is pack full of power foods and nutrients! Some of these, along with their health benefits, are as follows:

WALNUTS, CASHEWS, PECANS, ALMONDS

  • Loaded with Omega-3’s
  • Boosts heart health
  • Memory and brain booster
  • Plenty of Vitamin E
  • Good source of energy
  • Cancer protective
  • Rich source of minerals

CHIA SEEDS

  • Helps stabilize blood sugar levels
  • Prevents osteoporosis
  • High in fiber, and good for the digestive system
  • Keeps you energized
  • Helps treat anemia
  • Improves brain function

SUNFLOWER SEEDS

  • Good for bones and teeth
  • High in antioxidants
  • Good for the nervous system
  • Eases arthritic pain
  • Helps control cell damage
  • Good for cancer prevention

These are just to name a few!  You can see why this cereal is an excellent way to start your day!  Not only that, but it is DELICIOUS!

HOMEMADE GLUTEN FREE CEREAL

Ingredients

  • 2 cups gluten free oats
  • 1 cup dehydrated blueberries
  • 1 cup dehydrated strawberries
  • 1/2 cup chopped walnuts
  • 1/2 cup chopped cashews
  • 1/2 cup chopped pecans
  • 1/2 cup chopped almonds
  • 1/2 cup sunflower seeds
  • 3 Tbsp. unsweetened shredded coconut
  • 2-3 Tbsp. chia seeds

Directions:

1.) Place all ingredients in a airtight container.

2.) Mix together well.

3.) When ready to eat, serve with milk of your choice (I like it with almond milk), and sweeten with stevia or a drizzle of honey if desired.
