Breakfast Oatmeal Smoothie

This smoothie is like drinking delicious oatmeal! It’s sooooo yummy, and so great for you! On top of all that, it is really filling so it will keep you satisfied right through until lunchtime! Before getting to the recipe, I want to quickly mention that there is delicious cinnamon in this smoothie. Cinnamon is full of some great benefits, such as:

  • High in antioxidants
  • Contains anti-inflammatory properties
  • Protects heart health
  • Fights diabetes
  • Protects brain function, and helps prevent cognitive decline
  • Antiviral, antibacterial, and antifungal
  • Good for dental health
  • Helps fight candida

That’s a whole lotta reasons to enjoy cinnamon!  Of course, the other ingredients in this smoothie are awesome for you as well, but I really wanted to touch on the cinnamon!  Now that we’ve done that, let’s get to the recipe!

OATMEAL BREAKFAST SMOOTHIE

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup gluten free oats
  • 1/2 cup almond milk
  • 1/4 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1 Tbsp. chia seeds
  • 1/2 apple
  • 1 frozen banana
  • 3/4 cup plain greek yogurt
  • 2 Tbsp. almond butter

Directions:

Put all the ingredients in a blender and blend till smooth.  Transfer to a glass and serve.
