Remember to Whom You Belong

After waking up a bit on the grumpy side this morning with unwarranted feelings of insecurity and doubt (thank you PMS – sorry if that’s TMI 🤷‍♀️), I was pleasantly surprised by how quickly my morning turned around to be a great one and an awesome reminder of who my Creator is and how much He loves me. After laying in bed for about 5 minutes wallowing in my foul mood, I realized that I wasn’t doing myself any good by doing so. Thus, I got up, made myself a delicious breakfast (Sweet Potato, Brussels Sprout, and Greens Breakfast Skillet – YUM), and hung out with Papa for some devotional time. My daily devotional was all about Ephesians 2:19-22.

19 Consequently, you are no longer foreigners and aliens, but fellow citizens with God’s people and members of God’s household, 20 built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, with Christ Jesus himself as the chief cornerstone. 21 In him the whole building is joined together and rises to become a holy temple in the Lord. 22 And in him you too are being built together to become a dwelling in which God lives by his Spirit.

What an awesome reminder, hey? Whenever we may be feeling unloved, insecure, or unimportant (and let’s face it, we all get those feelings sometimes), we can remember to Whom we belong. The same God that created the mountains, the stars, and all the wonders of the world calls us His, and we can call Him ours. We are His beloved children, and all He asks of us is to let Him love us and to trust Him in doing so. Thus, if you’re feeling a little down at the moment, which it seems that everyone is with everything happening over the past couple of years and recent events, please remember that you are so incredibly loved and so incredibly important, and that is all because you are His.

For anyone that may need to hear this today like I did…

💕I am so glad that you are here. You are Papa’s beloved child, and when He created you, it is clear that He was showing off a bit. Your presence is a joy for all, and you are a beauty to behold both inside and out. When things are tough and life is challenging, always remember that you are uniquely and wonderfully made, you can do all things in Him who gives you strength, and you are loved with an everlasting love. 💕

Much love to you, friends!
Laura
